Baltimore Penn Station Solari board removed

As an update to my earlier post on the matter, per this post at railroad.net, the Solari departure board at Baltimore Penn Station has indeed been removed and replaced with a new departure board of an unknown type.

While I am not happy to see the Solari board go (there aren’t that many of them left on the NEC), at the same time I’m glad to see Amtrak investing money in Baltimore Penn Station—the place has been an absolute dump for as long as I can remember, and some infrastructure upgrades certainly wouldn’t hurt (that, and fixing some of the peeling paint). Now, if they could just get rid of that sculpture out front, then we’d be set.
